What’s Flour City Bake Co.?
Aloha, and Welcome!
Flour City Bake Co. is a direct nod to my home city of Rochester, NY. During the 1880s it was once known as the “flour city” for being the largest flour producing city in the world. To this day Rochester is still producing flour locally and are serving up some of the freshest breads and pastries around!
Sticking to my roots it was important to me to bring a little slice of home here. You’ll find with Flour City Bake Co. that everything is made to order using the freshest, and finest locally sourced ingredients whenever possible.
The goal here is to create rustic style desserts and baked goods that leave you feeling warm and fuzzy inside. Think back to when we were all kiddos and somebody close to you made homemade chocolate chip cookies with you and that feeling of home, love, and happiness. That’s what I want to capture. If you end up doing a little happy dance when you eat my desserts, I know I’ve done something right!
Alright, now to answer some questions you might have.
Opening for business March 1, 2024, it is currently just myself on staff. I appreciate your patience as pictures will be slowly added to the website and instagram.
For the time being I am offering a limited menu to keep the workload manageable as I grow, but please email me if there’s something not listed you’d like for me to make. If I am able, I’d be happy to get an order placed for you!
